Excessively thick necks can cause high chamber pressures and erratic shooting.

These long snipe reamers will remove excess neck materials to guarantee clearance between the case and chamber - a must if reforming cases from a large caliber to a smaller caliber, such as making 243 Winchester cases from 308 Winchester brass or 25-06 from 30-06.

Chamfering the inside of the case mouth

I have found the best use of the Wilson Inside Neck Reamer with special long snipe is to chamfer the inside of the case mouth. The end of the reamer has a bevel on it which will put a perfect bevel on your case mouth. The reamer can only go in so far, so if you adjust your cases, so that you ream the inside of the case mouth 10 to 15 thousandths, or just so your bullet will sit there when you turn the case upside down so the bullet won't fall out, you have a good fit bullet to case mouth. All your cases will come out perfect! I have shown this trick to many top shooters. After I have shown them how well it worked, they had to have a neck reamer to add to their case preparation tools. This is a must item if you want perfect case mouths. This still works better than the new Wilson deburring tool. Kinneman's Exclusive! I have them made special!
