The manufacturing process of brass cases often causes internal burrs around the flash hole...
Tests have shown that burrs can cause differing powder ignition among cases.
This difference in powder ignition is something most precision shooters wish to eliminate.
The deluxe deburring tools I carry are designed so the cutting depth is controlled by the tool itself so the user does not need to worry about removing too much material.
The hexagon guide is tapered so that the user can easily center the cutter shaft during the deburring operation.
The tool will work on rifle and pistol cases from 22 through 45 caliber.
Removal of the burr is done simply by inserting the tool shaft into the case mouth and aligning the cutter so that it protrudes through the flash hole.
Then simply turn the tool clockwise until you feel the cutting stop.
This is a one time operation-there is no need to repeat the process.
The deburring tool for the PPC / BR cartridge is of a bit different design.
The 220 Russian cases and the PPC cases now imported have several different internal case head designs that will not allow the user to use a preset cutter.
Some of these cases have the flash hole drilled rather than punched and the burrs they have are minimal.
THE MANUFACTURERS DO NOT recommend that these cases be deburred with ANY tool that has a Pre-Set Cutting Depth on the Cutter.
